Religions knot the mind
The very foundation of the church
itself on Christ's shoulders; to 'believe' that he died for other's sins
and those who believe in him would be saved etc. Such inputs knot the human
mind and cannot think avoiding that knot thereafter. This is some sort of virus
infection to mind. Thoughts get deviated according to the knot within. The mind
gets curved, twisted, warped and thoughts get affected because of the
heavy weight implant within the flimsy mind. This is not a pardonable act.
It is a crime against humanity, freedom and fearlessness. People are not aware
of this human right violation yet. When people come to know that such beliefs
actually arrest the free flow of natural mind, the priests and religions which
hammer blind faith, would be sweating in the courts.
Once a 'belief' is implanted in mind,
the victim feels guilty and fearful if the thoughts go beyond the knot
! Spiritual progress is not possible in such a closed or tied up mind. The
mind has to swell, break all barriers and limits, fly into the space and fill
the infinity which is its correct nature. Human mind is like the air in a
balloon. The air is part of the atmosphere. It has to realise that it is indeed
a part of the atmosphere. The human mind is similarly a part of the universal
mind. It has to be told that it is just a part of the universal whole and not a
limited feeble existence within the human body. By tying the mind with beliefs,
it becomes a bonsai. That is the crime religions do to unsuspecting people. The
religions are saved so far because people are not yet aware of the harm being
done into their psyche by planned encroachment into personal space. The religion
tells them that it is good for them. No. That it is mandatory for them ! It is
actually harmful to them. And they do not know it too.
Why was the religion created on behalf
of prophets? To make people reach Godliness like the prophet did ? Religions
were created by calculating clever disciples to tap the feeling of people
towards the founder for ever through an institution. When the times
change, people forget the founder or as per the nature of human psyche, the
founder becomes ‘uninteresting’ or even ‘boring’ ! Has anyone reached the
status of the founder or do the followers get more egoistic and confused? By
teaching one that someone else has carried our sins of deeds, the mind gets
hooked to the Jesus or Cross symbol (poor Jesus never would have
wanted it to happen to people that way) and from there the mind
cannot grow, escape into space and infinity and realise its true potential
and powers.
The 'believing' mind would move like a
cow tied to a tether. And people are told by the priests to be happy and
grateful for getting tied because they are within the observation field of the
experts and hence safe ! It is so boring and monotonous to be tied to the
tether ! Ask the cow or the dog ! The aim of God through the prophet was to
free the human mind. That is why God expressed its true colours through great
people whose minds were freed from everything that could bind normal human
minds. Religions do exactly the opposite. Free minds are scary to the
religions. Philosophers and thinkers are a headache. Sheep are manageable and
milkable ! So tie up their mind at infancy itself before they know how to think
freely and grow out of control.
Islam does the same thing. First of all
one has to 'believe' in the Prophet as sent by God. The mind is knotted
with that 'belief'. The mind cannot move freely now like Beypore Sultan's. It
is like a surgery to paralyse the mind. Free thinking is blocked. Those who
really innocently believed in what was taught, start seeing other religious
followers as stupid and try to make fun of them for being so. When the same fun
is reflected back to them, they get confused. Now there is a dilemma. The
teachers stand by what they taught. Because they know nothing more.
The follower faces ridicule by other
religions with different rituals and customs. To outsmart each other and to be
different, religions take the polar opposites. Like Bikini
vs Burka. Moustache and no beard. Beard and no moustache. Vegetarians Vs Non
vegs. Prostration Vs kneeling down. They cannot agree with the other religion
and their methods anyway. Reason? The 'knot' in mind is working!
Believers think those who behave
differently are non believers. To get over the ridicule which cannot be
answered back effectively, the teachers may ask the followers to eliminate the
opposition as it does not suit their scheme of things and understanding.
Hatred, mistrust and animosity results. Terrorists evolve. They are normal
people pure at heart like anyone else. Someone had just tied their minds.
That is the only problem ! Otherwise a terrorist is as good as a pious temple
goer. He is just simply confused. Rather he was made confused by knotting his
mind without him knowing it. His God was insulted by someone ! How can he stand
it?
The remedy is to remove the knot, which
the religions do not allow under any circumstance. If they allow, then the
religion itself does not exist ! It is a problem of survival. Of whom? the
people? No. Just a small mafia of religious leaders. It suits the priests to
control people by sitting pretty on their heads and scaring them as and when
required. For this purpose the 'belief' is the chip implanted in the followers
mind. Now their minds have become submissive and fearful. They can be
controlled by the leaders. Science fiction? This is the reality on the ground
now, buddy. It is down right exploitation of the masses by a very few immensely
clever and cunning group of religious leaders. Far more destructive than the
political parties. Religions destroy the human psyche and make them bio robots
and then ride on them. This is like castrating the mind.
If Hindus, for example were told to 'believe'
only in Krishna and no one else, they would
have ended up in the same boat as Christians and Muslims. Fortunately Hinduism
does not ask one to 'believe' in some one or something. Instead it wants one to
look within one's own mind. That is the scientific and logical way to reach
Godliness. Godliness is within. You me and everyone. Yes, inside the cockroach
and mosquito and bed bug and of course within the dirty stinking pig too. Who
said Pig is despicable? They have not seen the soul within. It is the same soul
that everyone else has.
One does not have to 'believe' in
anyone but imagine oneself as part of this universe to feel at peace with the
others. There are no strangers here. Simply manifestation of the same core
consciousness. Keeping heavyweight prophets inside the mind is a knot, a drag.
Gurus may be respected. But do not allow them to occupy the mind. The mind is
to be free. The mind is a tool to know. It is not a space to keep prophets.
When the mind knows all, the individual becomes another prophet. Now some one
may start a religion after him too asking people to keep the new guru within
their minds. The guru became a guru in the first place because he wilfully kept
all gurus out of his mind and made it free! So that is the requirement to be a
guru. Free the mind at any cost.
Now see religions in this perspective.
What they do to control and smother human minds. Bold thinker is branded as
Themmadi (disobedient). The religions want sheep to follow. Existence of
religions is not the people's requirement but of the priests. That is why when
the church says "Those who believe in Jesus' are saved" they actually
mean that the survival of the church depends on how many can swallow this.
A holistic way of thinking only can
take one out of this mess. And that is to accept that several ordinary people
on various parts of the world had risen above the normal level of human
existence by conditioning their minds, being true to themselves, by reaching a
stage of no desires and attachments in mind. Examples are enlightened ones like
Prophets, Mohammed, Jesus, Buddha, Mahavira, Sufis, Zen masters, Indian Rishis,
seers and visionaries. Were they all different independent entities standing
all alone having imported from Mars?
Instead the enlightened ones are like
bulbs connected to the same power source. All gave light when it was dark. When
people were engulfed with superstitions and blind faith. At various places and
times. Such bulbs would keep lighting up as and when necessary. It is childish
to swear by some bulb which lit up sometime at some place and try to place it
as the brightest ever or the last or better than another ! Like stars form from
dust clouds, light would keep coming to earth from within in time, in the
right luminosity, in the right place as and when required. Because there
is a control station of the universe where all data about the universe reach in
real time.
Do not fight over religions, their
rituals or their founders. Imagine these greats, prophets and founders of
religions as the fingers of the same palm. Their teachings are
basically all the same. Be peaceful. Dont hurt anyone else. Love everything.
All are siblings etc. The universe and all lives on earth is actually a grand
communion emanated from the same source etc. In short at the core everyone
feels the same way. The problem starts when those who like a particular finger
start hyping it up projecting it as the distinguished one among all other
fingers etc and start fighting over it ! Wake up and grow up ! All the prophets
and founders of religions are with the people. Lets escape from the religions
and their directors.

Dear Sir why dont you think in this
angle , when we do a action , the action is evaluated based on the social norms
and imprinted moral conciousness that has made for the common good . if
morality would not have been there in the society , then the strongest or
majority actions would be considered right . so assume that morlity is an
inevitability of social life to curb the possible social evils that humiliate
the essence of being life in a case if a person is done some action against the
above moral code and grossily devaited , then the gulity conciousness comes to
his mind and start bothering on the same and fall into vicious web of
gulityness due to sinful action . to avaoid such a psycological collapse of a
person or a community (remeber the person or community is not elevated to a
elite level by wisdom or understanding ) the haeling meachnism by way of
somebody take away your sin and get relived on the psycological stess that has
occurred due to gulity consiousnees . he really comes back to the normal life
again . he is deviod of the social exclusion . i hope this way it works the
process of confession of catholic church regards

It is the individual's choice whether to
emulate the wild animal or Jesus. God has shown the path unto itself. So we
can't blame God for not taking the correct decision. The problem is the church
which invented the idea that Christ died for other's sins, those who believe in
Jesus are saved irrespective of what they do and their sins would be pardoned
by holy father who is a rubber stamp. Christ was crucified because of the one
upmanship / ego of the ruler of that land and his cronies who feared that their
control over the oeople would be lost if he continued. Nothing whatsoever to do
with people's sin. Each individual would carry the record of actions as
memories which would be available to holy father to make judgements. Having
consensual sex or wearing bikini at the beach are not sins. But torturing
another life is likely to be one. No one can take the burden of any one else/s
sin. This is not business or trade off. The problem is we become satisfied if
there is another similar 'sinner' around. Then two is company ! Wild animals
donot kill for fun or torture the prey for sadistic fun. It is their instinct
from which they cannot make different decisions consciously. If a mouse passes
by the cat would jump at it and kill if hungry. If not hungry the cat willleave
the mouse alone. It will not start thinking whether to kill or not to kill.
That is the difference human beings have. They can make discriminattory
decisions. This way that way or no way. To live like a human being is not easy
! Following the animal instincts is easy andnatural. But that way one cannot
rise to the higher levels of existence or evolve into superhumans. The church
is again at fault. They teach that confessing the sin is sufficient for pardon
(by whom?) and one can continue to do the same things after paying the penalty
! This way the believer will not get over the cycle of deeds. If the church is
sincere it could teach how to become another Jesus by becoming selfless. None
really want to become another Jesus (even without the last episode). So the
easier path. Pray to him and continue the normal life. Regarding killing the
vegetables, there was an extreme saint who used to eat only dry leaves and dead
grass as he thought consuming even the live leaf is killing. One can use the
intellect or common sense in such highly debatable issues. >

Lets clear the Christians first through a key
hole painless laser surgery !
You said "perhaps derogating & talking
against someone’s established & trusted beliefs also amounts to torture,
perhaps wrong to believe none following Christianity can attain moksha from
cycle of deeds as well!!!! "
First of all no derogation is intended. Nothing to
gain from doing that except creating hatred and bad blood either of which are
not desirable.
Belief and faith are actually burdens in the mind
for normal people. If they do not know it then it is because they carry many
other burdens which also they are not aware of. For normal people the mind goes
out every morning and makes a list of 'desirable' objects and 'accessible'
objects. All the short listed desirable objects are not accessible. So a
compromise is made. Desire on the pending objects becomes a stowaway. It never
dies. The desiring person carries that desire all his life without even knowing
it at times. It is like the 'deleted' items in a hard disc. It simply gets
shifted to an inaccessible corner and can be retrieved by experts.
The frozen desires may come alive at appropriate
conducive times for fulfilment. Then the individual remembers it. So where was
that desire all these years? It was lying dormant in mind like a seed awaiting
rains to sprout. That desire is actually a load in mind even though at the
normal human level such desires are treated as desirable ! As one climbs
spiritually, those which he had thought as desirable may change status to
undesirable. This is quite interesting too. Desirabilty is relative. If one is
at a lower status, something higher may appear as desirable. Once he reaches or
accomplishes that status / desire, it may turn out to be ordinary. The
akkarappacha (grass greener on other shore) syndrome.
Take any Guru. They do not 'believe' or have
'faith' in something. Instead their minds are consciously made free sometimes
by cutting off the family relationships (Buddha) and meditating for years.
Buddha was not meditating on some faith or belief but trying to reach the
bottom of his own mind. This is the simple procedure that any Guru or prophet
did or does. Because the consciousness is at the bottom of the mind. As long as
we are 'living' in the physical world or delving in the mental world, we
are away from the consciousness which is our real self. To realise that self is
the puzzle of this universe and our lives. Those who solved the puzzle became
famous and religions were founded on their behalf sometimes even without their
knowledge or consent. For example Christianity was founded after 300 years of
Christ. In some cases the enlightened Master told the followers what to do
and what not. The followers in their wisdom, convenience and practical logic
further modified the teachings and landed up in the present mess.
Now here one has to be very careful. The founder
Master had become a master because he conditioned his own mind (for no physically
profitable logical reason but because of some internal call to do so sometimes
even breaking away from near and dear ones (Shankaracharya) sometimes letting
go off wonderful prospective family lives (Vivekananda) etc. They meditated for
years to reach the core consciousness because one has to cross one's own mind
to reach the bottom. And it is not easy for those who depend for their pleasure
on the external world. It is not impossible either. There is nothing called
compromise consciousness or stopover for rest at the half way mark ! One goes
the entire way leaving the world or come back to the world of attachments and
continue to live or drown / get lost in the ocean of mind in between.
Mind is like a pond. (These are just euphemisms to
clarify some concept. There is no real pond anywhere in mind !) . Thoughts are
like ripples. Desires and attachments are like agitations that makes the pond
muddy and opaque. When there are ripples or when the water is muddy, the bottom
of the pond cannot be seen from top / outside. With the emotions, ego, desires,
attachments, beliefs and faiths one gets stuck in the world of objects or
thoughts or memories. Once got hooked to the objective world like wealth,
house, spouse, children or even pet animals, realty, status in society,
achievements, and memorabilia or to the religious symbols or places of worship
or rituals or superstitions or some experiences which cannot be explained. The
mind can get stuck at any of these distractions and there the Ramayana (journey
to the soul) ends. Now it becomes hovering of the mind around the objects and
experiences and memory that mind has 'accepted' to react to.
That is why the beliefs and faiths in mind are
actually against spiritual progress. What is spiritual journey? Reaching the
bottom or the other end of the mind. When the mind is cluttered with many
things and objects and persons to react with, where is the time or chance to
proceed to the bottom? For such people there is no spiritual journey. They
spend time enjoying the sensory world. They are called Asuras in Hinduism.
Anything wrong with enjoyment? Nothing whatsoever. It is called normal life.
Enjoy it. But if possible keep the eyes (intellect) open rather than closing
them while enjoying.
What is required is a surgery of the mind to remove
its attachments and tumours for making it free to see its own majesty than
making it a godown to keep the Guru’s statue (image) or some beliefs and
faiths. When one does that knowingly or unknowingly, the mind is loaded. What
is required is unloading the mind. That is why the beliefs and faiths are
actually a drag for spiritual progress of mind. No derogation intended for the
faiths and beliefs. The beliefs and faiths are the torture or burden of the
mind. Just throw them out and feel naturally free. If one is afraid after
throwing away the clutter in mind, just hug a nearby tree and thank it for
making food to feel safe!
Your second question:
"perhaps wrong to believe none following
Christianity can attain moksha from cycle of deeds as well!!!! "
Who believes? Following Christianity or any other
religion will only make the individual confused, fearful and guilty. It is like
this. First of all we allow the mind to accept some morals and rituals from the
religion. Then we try to follow them with all sincerity. Will the devotee reach
anywhere? He would be going in circles carrying the morals and rituals on his
head.
Religions make people slave minded; to pray and beg
to some super entity for every need. Because religions are not trying to create
another founder from the mass of devotees. But they want the people to live in
a manageable way so that they do not grow bigger than the priests themselves.
There is actually no spirituality in religions. It is propped up and maintained
by vested interests for their own personal agenda. Religions are
socio-political organisations. Spirituality is not the purpose. The priests do
not know what spirituality is.
What is spirituality then? Something that is not
known to the priests who swear by God every other moment?!
There is no rocket science in spirituality. Human
body has three distinct elements. The body, the mind and the soul. Now we all
know the body and are chasing better bodies of opposite sex or fighting better
bodies of same sex in the name of life. Then we have the mind which is actually
a tool to think and visualise. That also most of us know. The quality of an individual
is because of his mind. So conditioning the mind and controlling the movements
of mind changes the personality of an individual. No objection so far? Now
there is a soul at the bottom of the mind which most of us are not
familiar with.
"Someone said I also have a soul. I do not
know what the hell is that" is our attitude !
It is not that the soul is hiding itself from us.
It is always there. Only thing is that we do not see it because we always look
at the outside world through the mind. What we see in mind are fractions of the
world outside. Soul is the eye of the eye that makes one 'view' the thoughts in
his own mind. Or which makes one 'see' dreams. The physical eyes in our faces
actually do not see anything. The impression created by these eyes in our minds
is seen by the soul. We miss or forget to notice this soul as the mind has interesting
subjects to be busy with. Why bother about the soul of all things?
Every day we spend 8 hours with God without knowing
it ! Can you guess?
When we sleep the mind actually rests with the
soul. That is why we feel so comfortable after a long sleep. We do not want to
get out of bed because the mind is reluctant to leave the soul! Hence the
experienced quality of the soul is comfort, peace, timelessness and space less
ness. We forget time when we sleep. Where we sleep. Now the soul gets exposed in
mind when the mind is free from time and space. For example a sexual orgasm or
a drug injection. Then the mind and body are frozen / forgotten. Time is
immaterial. Place is not an issue. At that state of mind the soul emerges and
is felt as great pleasure or bliss. This is as close as we can get to the soul
in everyday life.
Bliss is just one quality of the soul. The other
major qualities are Sat (true at all times) and Chit (exists at all times). It
has infinite qualities to be precise, not infinity minus one! Qualities get
exposed / created as and when required. To be fair if we ask the soul what all
qualities and powers it has, it might say it does not remember ! There are no
limitations to this mind boggling entity.
Time does not affect it. Space cannot affect it. In
fact time and space are dependent creations of the soul through a magic
material called Maya by Hindus a part of which is our mind itself ! It creates
the universe by a mere wish in its slumber !
What is this mysterious magical soul? How did it
happen? Who created it? Why does it exist? No answers ! It always existed. Now
exists. Will exist. Thus the universe is actually an illusory world in the
sense it does not exist the same way for ever in time. It keeps changing every
moment even though we fail to notice. Only the soul is real, unchanged and it
is our own self. There is only one self for all the people put together! No
white soul and black soul and a brown soul in between for different coloured
people ! Or an animal soul and a tree soul followed by fish soul and amoeba
soul ! It is like the palm of the different looking fingers. But we fail to
understand this simple truth about our self.
And that precisely is the problem !
Now how to reach this soul is the question for
those who get the idea. Repeated sex and use of drug would give flashing
emergence of the soul in mind experienced as unexplainable pleasure. But such
ecstasies are momentary and will not last. Because the ignorance (that the
pleasure is due to sex or drug and not due to the state of mind) and the
desires and attachments in mind would quickly smother the soul and deny any
further bliss to the mind and body.
Now see the irony! We wanted to experience bliss.
The bliss is at the soul. To reach the soul, the mind is to be free of attachments.
Otherwise even if one reaches the soul through the mind, the experience will
not last. After a glimpse the mind comes back to the world. Some start
discourses and pretend as Gurus after such brief encounters with the soul. The
mind and its attachments would bring him back to the surface of life from the
depth of the soul namely back into the world or society outside.
So how to reach this soul at least once or possibly
for ever is the question. This is the so called Kingdom of God.
Or paradise. The path is through the mind. There is no other way. To look
inside, the mind is to be trained so. Currently it looks only at the outside.
We only taught the mind to look outside and search for desirable objects ! So
it does not know how to look inside ! What a pitiable handicap !
Thus to go to the soul inside, the mind is to be
cut off from the world outside. This means whatever we have accumulated in life
will have to be left alone for any spiritual progress ! Pulivalanallo
changayee. If we leave all that is earned then we become a non entity. How many
can stand that?
After retirement, this may be more possible ! Some
may still continue to work. Not blaming anyone. The gravity of attachments and
pending duties would drag the individual back into the world. So the basic
requirement for spiritual journey is freeing the mind. Once totally free, the
mind ceases to exist which is an unbelievable state for normal people. We
experience only Jagrat (live), Swapna (dream) and Sushupti (sleep) states of
the mind. There is a fourth state exclusively reserved for billionnaires !
Jokes apart it is the fourth state of mind named 'Thuriya'. In thuriya state,
the mind having got rid off all attachments finds itself no where, no more ! No-mind
state of the mind ! Confused? Never mind !
What is that again?
The mind is actually a non entity. It appears to be
there only as long as the individual wishes. For example one has told his mind
that Aiswarya Rai is a desirable woman ! From then on the mind would start
searching all Aiswarya look alike and bring to your attention. You may finally
choose one that is a practical compromise. The point is that you only gave the
mind the idea about a desirable object to look for. Or the mind proposed from
its instinct and you accepted it and
looking forward to it! The mind followed suit. You may or may not get the girl.
That is not the issue. That is inconsequential !
On the contrary imagine Aiswaraya's mind itself.
She does not tell the mind to find out another Aiswarya. Instead she may be
asking the mind to find out her love Abhishek Bachhan. So desire / search input
is not the inherent quality of the mind itself but of the instructing individual.
Further suppose a man having no desires. His mind
is simply coming awake every morning. No fresh instructions are forthcoming
from that individual. What would such a mind do? Mind does not start searching
for beautiful girls or handsome boys on its own without any instruction !
Depending on whether the mind belongs to a male or female the instructions
would be different. Here we have a peculiar mind which is not being instructed
anything whatsoever. Let’s say Buddha's mind. He was the young prince, had all
the riches, beautiful wife and family. What can his mind desire? His mind
desired to know the truth within and no material outside.
Let’s watch Buddha's mind closely. There is no
desire to any object or person in that mind. So it is not attached to anything as
well as desire free. Now such minds have nothing to do than loitering like a tramp
with no interest. Sleep with the soul at night and wake up and casually watch
the life outside without getting involved. Such minded people will have a Tejas
in their face which is the soul coming out though the now transparent mind.
Infants have this state of mind by birth. Watch them and the divine smile. It
is the soul itself smiling. The soul is visible from its location through the
mind and comes out of the face of the baby ! The infant loses this divinity soon
afterwards once the parents and society tell that mind to believe in something.
Thereafter we see these divine infants growing into
brats.
Watch that mind which is no longer attached to the
world. That mind would keep getting more and more attached to the soul within
and start losing all contact with the world and people around, not in an
unconscious state but while having complete consciousness. Such minds
occasionally get non existent as it completely merges with the soul. This
no-mind ness is the state of Samadhi or Moksha or salvation.
Now tell me how this state of Moksha can be reached
through believing in something as taught by the religions. Believing is
accommodating something in mind ! What is required to reach moksha (salvation) is to keep
the mind free rather than loading it with faiths and beliefs.
