I AM SCARED OF JAINS !
After reading Osho, I am scared of the Jains !
No no ! Not because they are scary. They are great humans indeed. But their beliefs are scary. That is all.
Jains have many superstitions. Like they don't eat what grows under the earth. No Tapioca ? Then why do we live ? Dear Jains, have you eaten Tapioca ? If not, you have missed a blessing. Simple as that.
Jains wont defecate or urinate into water. That is actually good. This may be to keep the water pollution free. But there is a scary after effect for this belief.
That is, because of this belief, the Jains cannot use western commodes ! Because there is water inside !
Jains take no food or water after the sun sets, even for infants, because the atmosphere gets filled with evil spirits of darkness after the sun set !
And the Jain monks never bathe because the Thirthankaras never bathed !
Holy stink !
Osho, even though born as a Jain was critical about most Jain rituals. In fact Osho described the founder of Jain religion, Vardhamana Mahavir, as a stupid mad ritualist, blindly following what his predecessors did just to be recognized as another Thirthankara ! And there were many aspirants. Thirthankara aspirants had cold war within too !
Spiritual jealousy ! LOL !
